OUR MEMBERS
INTRODUCTION + MEMBERSHIP.
Due to the Covid 19, and Cost of Living Epidemic, the Safer Communities Alliance and volunteers, have been supporting our members with fundraising, advice and coaching to explore ways to diversify and adapt.
It has also adapted to the needs of the community & families
In November 2019 Safer Communities Alliance (SCA), CIC was formed after a consultation with the community of Kent.
At present we have 3 local community projects, Energise family hub, Ukrainian English cafe and work in partnership and collaborate with 10 charities/CIC's in Kent who have Joined as members of the Safer Communities Alliance CIC.
"Together we are able to achieve so much more"
BACKGROUND
This came about as a result of the experiences Bali Rodgers has had of running a charity for 15 years. She decided to spend some time scoping small organisations who were like minded and had the common thread of crime diversion in Kent and the South east of London.
CONCLUSION
All of the community members/charities in Kent felt they were under resourced, need support with:
-
Marketing
-
Training
-
Help with ideas
-
Running projects
-
Families and Poverty
-
Networking
-
Time and help to be versatile
-
Explore crime prevention methods or get training
-
Gain enough technical skills
-
Explore opportunities to collaborate through networking
-
Help with fundraising
-
Have time to develop
-
Help with governance
-
Support to capture outcomes and celebrate these
-
Funding opportunities/bids reinforced the need to keep projects running or to constantly change and have new ideas, so they could get funding, without any needs based knowledge locally.
-
Help to access those in the community that are most disadvantaged vulnerable and from BAME communities
-
Help to stabilise the services
If you want to help the SCA with events and management please feel free to directly donate.
